The Brewer Foundation as part of our new initiative to reconnect past success with current objectives, hosted a reception for former Jefferson Junior High School Faculty. Former teachers and students were present as we looked back at the tremendous accomplishments of such a celebrated institution. While there we honored a former teacher, Mrs. Geraine Armstrong who taught English for more than 30 years. Her former students from the graduating class of 1984 were present as she received an award for her dedication to the school and the endowment of an award in her name at Jefferson Academy for the best English at the school. The recipient will receive a $250 contribution to their 529 College Savings Account.
