We are so proud of Antonio! He is one of the key inspirations for our organization. Antonio was our first scholar with Learning Differences. Being on the autism spectrum did not deter him from his goals and served as an incredible motivator. He finished high school as the Valedictorian and 3 year Letterman in Basketball. He attended Beacon College, at the time America's only accredited 4 year college specifically for students with Learning Differences. Greatly excelling, he finished college in 3 and 1/2 years with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Human Services and was able to travel abroad yearly to England, Italy, and Croatia/Slovenia. He wanted to pursue a career supporting people with disabilities. He worked in his field with a DC disability support corporation and has now branched out into disability advocacy. He was recently appointed by the Mayor of Washington DC to the State Rehabilitation Council to publicly advocate for the rights of inclusion for the disability community.
