Niya is a 2014 graduate of Spelman College with a Bachelors of International Relations. As a Brewer Foundation
Protégé, it was our pleasure to sponsor her internship with one of our
corporate partners, The H Street Development Corporation’s new initiative The
Global Scholars Foundation (GSF). GSF’s goal is to introduce teens in urban
areas to global experiences through language and cultural studies as they
prepare for college and the workplace. Following college, Niya completed a two year tour as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique. While there she she served as the Girls' Empowerment Provincial Coordinator and taught English as a Foreign Language. She has firmly established herself within the field of international relations and has a will soon be a graduate student of International Policy.
